LEAD COMPLEX
Leadership Enhancement and Development Complex
Learning Team and Problem-Solving Skills
Every cadet at Marine Military Academy is expected to challenge themselves both mentally and physically, to learn to work together as a team and learn problem-solving skills. The key to physical fitness is pushing oneself beyond preconceived limitations.
Our Leadership Enhancement and Development Complex, or LEAD Complex, was developed to serve this very purpose. Begun in 1999, the LEAD Complex complements our MCJROTC program challenging each cadet physically, instilling confidence in their abilities, promoting teamwork and developing problem-solving skills. The Complex has been upgraded annually since the initial construction to include eight separate courses.
LEAD Complex Courses
Empowering every student at MMA is paramount to your son’s development. The complex serves as a right of passage, one that every cadet must face. Our certified instructors provide each cadet with the tools needed to safely shape their minds and bodies in activities including:
- Rappelling
- Rock Climbing
- Circuit Training
- High/Low Ropes Courses
- Leadership Reaction Course
- Confidence Course
- Rope Bridging
- Obstacle Course
- And more activities designed to challenge both decision-making skills and physical abilities
Once our cadets have conquered the LEAD Complex, what they discover is an ability to overcome any challenge — mental or physical.
